Rate: Up to $35.91 per hour casual rates + super
Employment Type: Ongoing with a view to full-time
Roster: Mon - Fri 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

The Role
The primary objectives of this role include but are not limited to:

Inspect and report on Council's existing concrete asset condition.
Achieve and maintain a standard of excellence for the community's path and trail network.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Undertake inspections and record findings of Councils footpath, path and trail network in accordance with the Road Management Plan and other policies/strategies and record all findings into Councils Asset Management or Customer Request System.
Undertake investigations from requests received within the area of responsibility and provide findings to the Coordinator or Team Leader.
Undertake maintenance work such as weed spraying, removal of weed growth or minor concrete grinding works etc. as directed.
Contribute broadly to the objectives of the City Presentation Department and Concrete Maintenance team to deliver a high-quality service to our community.
Ensure compliance with Council's Asset Management and Road Management Plan with regards to assets within your responsibility.

To be considered for this role you should have:

Trade Certificate: Trade certificate or equivalent, TAFE accredited/industry-based training, or on-the-job training.
Relevant Experience and Knowledge: Mobility: Ability to move on foot for distances up to 5km per day and navigate rough terrain.
Vehicle Operation: Safe and competent driving of vehicles over 13.9 tonnes GCM to 22.4 tonnes GCM.
Time Management: The ability to manage time effectively and organise work in a changing environment.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to handle conflicts and resolve issues independently.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication, with the ability to work well with diverse groups.
Tech Savvy: Competent in using technology for enforcement tasks.
Victoria Driver's License (valid).
Working with Children Check (valid).
National Police Check (with Stat Dec) issued within the last 6 months.
Ability to commit to rosters with a proven track record of good attendance and punctuality.
