Fantastic opportunity for an APS 6 Communications Officer to join the Strategic Communications team of a Federal Government Department that is highly regarded for their collaborative and supportive culture.
As part of a small team of experienced specialists who operate through an established account management model, you will partner with business areas to deliver targeted communication.
The key focus of this role will be to support the development, implementation, and evaluation of communication strategies across the department's policies and programs.
This role can be offered as a S26 transfer or in a non-ongoing capacity.
Central Canberra or Brisbane location, with flexibility to work from home 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities: Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of communication strategies Coordinate product creation, including liaising with business areas and creative services, to develop assets such as videos, social media tiles and graphics Monitor and report on the implementation of strategic communication initiatives Build positive working relationships with internal business areas and stakeholders If you are a motivated team player who prides yourself on your ability to think outside the box to deliver creative communication solutions and build excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, then this is THE role for YOU! Skills and Experience Required: Ideally minimum of 3 years' experience delivering in communication teams A degree in communications or related discipline or equivalent experience Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders Strong writing skills and the ability to write for multiple channels, including: case studies, newsroom articles; social media copy; and, communication strategies and implementation plans A strong understanding of social media channels Any experience working with Universal Mc Cann is beneficial The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance Why apply with Hudson?
