We are building stronger Strategic Business Partnering capability, enhancing our operational processes through greater standardization and automation, and expanding our focus on Learning and Organisation Development, Talent Management, Organisation Design and Workforce Planning. About the Role As a Strategic Business Partner (SBP), you will play a pivotal role in aligning people initiatives with the university's strategic objectives. Reporting to the Head of Partnering and Workplace Relations, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, partnering with university leaders to shape and execute people strategies that drive organisational effectiveness, talent development, and employee engagement. This is a hands-on, high-impact role, where you will work closely with designated client groups to align their needs with the university's overall goals. You'll collaborate across the People Unit and other key stakeholders to ensure talent management, workforce planning, organisational development, and performance management strategies are effectively implemented. Your key responsibilities will include:
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives and managers, offering expert advice on all People-related matters, including organisational design, talent and workforce planning, management and succession planning. Partner with client groups to develop and implement strategic people plans that support business objectives. Drive initiatives related to employee engagement, diversity, inclusion, and leadership development. Leverage data and analytics to provide insights and inform decision-making. Lead change management initiatives and support client groups through organisational transformation. Ensure that the focus and priorities of all teams within the PU are clear and delivered. About You We are seeking an experienced HR professional with a proven track record in strategic HR roles within complex, large-scale organisations. The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship management skills and the ability to influence and coach senior leaders. They should have extensive knowledge of HR practices, including organisation design, talent management, workforce planning, and organisational development. The successful candidate will demonstrate a history of managing change and delivering results in dynamic environments, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Remuneration A base salary of up to $160,000 will be on offer to the chosen candidate. This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary. This position is full time role and will be made on a continuing basis.
