Job summary

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an experienced Strategic Account Manager with an ability to develop and cultivate meaningful senior executive relationships to join us in Sydney, Australia. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for representing Red Hat’s solutions and services to a customer base of strategic enterprise companies. You’ll determine the sales strategy and messaging, aligning the virtual team to the strategy and ensuring effective implementation.
Primary job responsibilities

Clearly demonstrate experience of successfully managing large accounts in the software or services industry
Manage effective sales processes aligning team resources for maximum effect
Understand customer problems and opportunities to map solutions to deliver outcomes
Understand both technical and business trends in the industry and present a thought leadership position
Meet quantitative and qualitative performance expectations and set high standards for articulation and presentation of key messages and value proposition to C-level executives
Persuade architects, infrastructure and application managers, and CIOs of the value proposition for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Middleware, and cloud offerings
Maintain a high level of business development activity
Develop and work with an ecosystem of business partners and influencers in the territory to assist with the sales process
Enter and maintain all customer and sales details in (SFDC)
Required skills

7-10 years of experience selling technology offerings or services
Consistent record of above-plan performance
Ability to articulate comprehensive technological strategies to a wide range of decision-makers within an organization
Knowledge of and experience with the complete sales cycle management from prospecting to closing enterprise license agreements
Ability to think and act strategically and tactically
Infrastructure or middleware technology experience and passion for open source technology are a plus
