We are seeking an experienced Store Design Team Leader with strong leadership and drafting experience, who wants to be involved in all aspects of the Bunnings store layouts design, inside and out - from extensions to new store concepts to join our Store Development team.

About You

As a Store Design Team Leader you will lead a team of Store Designers in proactively developing and maintaining all 'plan' documentation relating to new business initiatives (both new site development and existing network changes) and support their career development needs.

You will ensure design consistency, process, procedures and documentation are adhered to according to industry and Bunnings standards to ensure alignment between internal and external stakeholders i.e. Construction, Property, Architects, Town Planning and Engineers.

Additionally you will be responsible for prioritization and allocation of workload to the team to ensure critical timelines are met as per business expectations.

What's Involved:

- Develop and coordinate industry standard plans, design and documentation phases for requested Capital Works to schedule (Project program)
- Develop and coordinate the plans for new sites, in collaboration with the Property Team, to be presented in a timely manner through the Project Signoff (PSO) meeting
- Document and implement Store Design formats, generic footprints and implement new standards to meet the business strategic objectives
- Design new site concepts to maximise return on floor space, while maintaining functionality at a low cost
- Implement ongoing "review and improve" processes addressing such items as Building design, support services and customer service levels.

About You

Joining a collaborative and supportive team you are a passionate leader with extensive design or drafting experience who possesses exceptional project management, stakeholder management and documentation skills. You are adept at problem solving, negotiation, analysis which coupled with your strong communication and presentation skills has seen you be well respected amongst your team and in your role thus far.

Seen as a trusted advisor by the business you are outcome driven, innovative and strategic in your approach to work and are known for your supportive nature as a leader.

You'll additionally have:

- A qualification in either Architecture, Design, Building, Engineering, Interior Design or Drafting
- Extensive experience in team leadership in a corporate/retail environment
- Extensive experience in design and drafting in a retail environment
- Experience in building and fitout project management with some "on site" involvement
- Understanding of Visual Merchandise offer in a retail environment (not essential)
- Experience in Adobe Design suite, Microsoft office, Microsoft Access, SharePoint, ArchiCAD / CAD and associated software, Site Audit Pro, Web based Merchandise Tool
