Do you enjoy working within a team environment?We are currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic people for Stocktake Assistant positions that provide support across all Woolworths business units around the Victoria.This exciting role involves you attending a different Woolworths owned site every shift, where you will count the stock at each location. This is done by physically counting each item and then entering it into a handheld PDA. Whilst the day does go fairly quickly, you will be on your feet for most of the day.We are also responsible for conducting accuracy checks on our Distribution Centres. This is a very physical task, where you will be required to lift and stack cartons weighing up to 10kg for a extended period of time.Although this is a causal role, there is generally regular work commencing at 6am from Monday to Thursday with approximately 20-25 hours per week. There may also be some shifts available on Fridays. There is an attractive remuneration package with a highly competitive rate of pay, kilometre and travel time allowances, superannuation and staff discount card.As part of the Stocktake Assistants role, you will get the opportunity to travel around Victoria to some of our regional centres. This will include being away from home for approximately 4 nights per month where you will enjoy coach driven transport, comfortable twin share accommodation with catered breakfasts and dinners, and a wonderful team environment.Key responsibilities include:Accurately counting of stock to company specified guidelines, time frames and targets.Working cooperatively in an engaging and productive team environment.Abiding by company policies and procedures in relation to Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) and Food Safety to ensure a safe working environment for customers, team members and contractorsEnsuring customers are served in a friendly and efficient mannerTo be considered for this role you need to be able to meet the following criteria:Demonstrate competent written and verbal communication skills with a sound mathematical abilityHold a current driver's licence and have access to your own vehicleMaintain a reliable attendance record and strong work ethicPerform repetitive tasksPortray a positive attitudeAbide by company policies and procedures at all times including standard of dressAvailability to work a flexible casual roster from Monday to Friday (the majority of shifts would be from 6am starts however some evenings and late nights may be required)Ability to periodically travel on trips away for up to four nights, staying in twin share accommodation at the expense of WoolworthsCommunicate effectively with customers and team membersWork in a fast-paced team environmentThis is a fantastic role with great opportunities to advance for the right candidate.
