The ideal candidate should have experience in sales and operations with demonstrated leadership experience. Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager of Australia and New Zealand, this role is responsible for executing strategies in line with the company vision and budget expectations. Key Responsibilities will include (but not limited to): Lead within the organisation and state to achieve profitable growth in alignment with set budgets and corporate vision. Ensure activities comply with legal and ethical standards. Participate in the recruitment, selection, and training of state-based employees to determine the tone and direction of the company's vision. Seek out and provide future leaders, completing active succession planning. Build effective relationships within the A. H. Beard organisation to deliver an all-encompassing, one direction business. Actively participate within the communication forums held within the business. Cultivate new business opportunities with new and existing clients and attend to all key accounts personally to ensure continued revenue growth and relationship satisfaction. Manage the Sales and Operational Team to achieve and exceed budgets, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction level targets while maintaining a safe working environment. Ensure the Operations Team is actively improving inventory control and working towards meeting targets. Manage the Account Sales Team to achieve annual sales budgets and assist in the specific account strategies for future growth. Ensure all advertising, sales promotional material, and in-store displays accord with agreed programs and that their effectiveness is monitored. Contribute to the development of the marketing policy, recommending product revisions and pricing changes. Monitor market trends and advise management of changes in competition, product availability, or related matters. Champion safety, quality, continuous improvement, and customer-focused initiatives to support positive cultural change. Qualifications & Experience Extensive experience managing a variety of people, both in sales and operations. Extensive experience managing or operating within a retail market. Knowledge of manufacturing/production processes. Knowledge of relevant WHS requirement regulations. Experience developing and nurturing business relationships with existing clients. Experience initiating business relationships and generating sales leads for others. Experience developing business objectives in consultation with relevant stakeholders and motivating others to ensure that these objectives are met. Core Competencies Ability to lead by example, motivating others to achieve business objectives. Ability to consult with a wide variety of people and influence outcomes effectively and tactfully. Understanding of high-level business objectives and how their role contributes to the achievement of these objectives. Ability to analyse profit and loss statements and determine corrective action.
