Role
The role of the Sports, Physical Education and Elite Sports Program (Rugby League stream) Development Officer will work alongside the classroom teachers and leadership team to support the implementation of physical education classes and the growth and development of our Rugby League student athletes.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following attributes:

Responsibilities
Elite Sports Program - Rugby League Stream
Assist with the organisation of logistical elements of the Elite Sports Program - Rugby League Stream.
Assist with the running of before and after school training sessions.
Assist with the planning of engaging, positive and progressive training sessions that are well organised to develop skills, decision making, leadership and teamwork capabilities for all participants of the Elite Sports Program - Rugby League Stream.
Foster an environment that encourages athletes to set and work towards personal goals.
Be involved with the trial/selection process for representative teams and/or interschool competition.
Assist with Talent Identification Sessions to support intake of students into the Elite Sports Program.
Assist in providing and ensuring a positive learning environment for all students enrolled in the Elite Sports Program - Rugby League Stream.
Assist in the monitoring and reporting of participation and levels of activity of students in the Elite Sports Program - Rugby League Stream.
Develop and communicate game strategies that align with the team's capabilities and strengths.
Model to students the importance of teamwork, communication, and mutual respect on and off the field.
Instil age-appropriate life skills such as time management, resilience and leadership through participation in Rugby League.
Assist with Implementing programs and pathways to increase the participation of Rugby League across the College.
Liaise with the relevant Mount Ridley College staff responsible for providing reports on student performance, injuries, games results and other matters as required.
Physical Education Classes
Assist with the preparation and packing up of equipment of Physical Education classes.
Assist with the running of Physical Education classes including but not limited to organising warm-ups, umpiring and/or working with breakaway groups.
Technology and Equipment
Assisting with the development and management of systems for storage, maintenance and ordering of equipment.
Maintaining equipment in a clean and serviceable condition.
Storing equipment in a manner which best facilitates access, maintenance and security.
Counting, packing and refilling items before and after sport days.
Be confident and resourceful in learning new technologies and continuously upskill in digital technologies to engage students and enhance student learning.
Effective use of Compass (School's Administration and Learning Management System).
Administration
Assist with Sporting Administrative Duties as required.
Assist the Director of Specialised Programs - ESP and Sport with a variety of administrative duties to ensure the efficient operation of the Elite Sports Program.
