Speech Pathologist vacancy - Mount Isa, Queensland This organisation is a private allied health service currently offering speech and occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload. Our therapists enjoy flexible working hours and autonomy in managing their own caseload. Employees receive support to access up to $10,000 in professional development funding and 5 paid PD days per year. The position involves: Assessment and treatment of children and adults with a variety of needs including: early intervention due to developmental delay and other pervasive disabilities including autism. receptive and expressive language difficulties. speech sound difficulties. play and social skills intervention development of skills and strategies to support engagement in school and other learning environments. Delivery of services in clinic, homes and schools using an occupation centred family based model. Maintaining a high level of written work, including progress notes, assessment reports, home programs and discharge paperwork. Essential criteria Recognised degree in Speech Pathology, Registration with Speech Pathology Australia, Experience with complex clients, including children with ASD, A passion for learning, Current Blue Card for working with children (or ability to acquire one), High level of interpersonal and written communication skills, Ability to work independently and manage own caseload, and C Class Driver's license and own vehicle.
