About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this Specialist/Principal role is to provide technical leadership and specialist support within the Mechanical Engineering Systems domain, as well as managing design changes, defects and risks across LOTE.
To be considered for this permanent full-time opportunity, it is imperative that one must display expert knowledge across the following accountabilities:
Extensive experience in reporting on significant issues within a large business or enterprise context. The ability to provide guidance and mentoring to engineers and technical officers. Proven track record in providing professional and technical mechanical engineering. Extensive experience in providing technical oversight and integration of projects. Demonstrated experience in preparing design documents and project reports. Extensive experience in preparing engineering documentation such as specifications, sketches, test procedures, and engineering reports. About you
Our ideal candidate must have significant experience within mechanical design, fault analysis, and overall mechanical system configuration. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required, coupled with sound stakeholder engagement capabilities. We are also seeking someone who can demonstrate effective multi-disciplinary team leadership capabilities. The preferred candidate will have extensive expertise in multi-tasking and prioritizing work to meet technical requirements and project schedules. In relation to qualifications, we require an Engineering Degree and related experience within medium to large projects.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance, and the ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals. While ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
