Our business is a dine-in cafe offering modern Australian cuisine with a focus on consistent, high-quality food and friendly service. We are looking for a sous chef to join our team, working closely with our head chef and front of house team to ensure a seamless experience for our customers. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who will be reliable and committed to our business.
Prior experience working in a cafe is a must, or restaurant experience (across a range of kitchen operations).
Job description includes:
Prep and service of food Managing inventory Safe food handling Opening and closing procedures including assisting end of day cleaning Working closely with kitchenhand and head chef Ability to work in a small kitchen Ability to work unsupervised Minimum 3 years experience cooking (1 year min in similar role) Must have commercial cookery qualification.
