Your new role An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated individual to join our Legal Services team. Based in our Sydney office and reporting to the Manager – Legal Services, you will be responsible for:
Providing telephone and written advice services direct to clients including preparation of file notes and file maintenance as part of MIGA's advice service. Providing advice and claims management services on a national basis in the following areas:Employment Law Health Law Training of in-house team in key aspects of these areas of expertise Engaging with external stakeholders and relevant bodies including Medicare, the Professional Services Review, and Specialist Medical Colleges Assisting with internal and external claims file reviews and audits Assisting with claim file management as directed Providing backup and support to the Legal Services team generally. What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this role, you will have:
Degree in Bachelor of Laws Current Practising Certificate Hold and maintain Tier 2 education level as per ASIC PS 146 Licensing: Training of financial product advisors. At least 3 years relevant post qualifications experience with a law firm At least 3 years' experience in industrial/workplace relations issues and litigation A working knowledge or commitment to upskill in the following areas is required:Advice on employment contracts or contracts for services Managing issues arising from bullying and harassment allegations Performance management Contractual disputes in the context of the workplace Issues concerning compliance with training programs including college training programs or working within Scope of Practice Medicare Australia investigations.
