Salary: $120,162 - $141,789 + up to 15.4% superannuation - ASC Grade 6
Employment Type: Fixed Term Full Time

The Australian Sports Commission is embarking on the Green and Gold decade, filled with international sporting competitions on home soil, including the Men's and Women's Rugby World Cup, culminating in the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. About the Group The Technology Group shapes and drives the ASC's technology and digital strategy, delivering capabilities and services for the ASC and the sector, ensuring technology remains consistently integrated across the business. The branch provides technical and digital expertise to ASC business areas, delivering, maintaining, and supporting ICT architecture, digital platforms, and tools to enable effective digital experiences for the sector.
About the team The Digital Sector team drives the ASC's digital identity and integration activities across the sporting sector, and is home to the organisation's Design Lab supporting user research and design services across the ASC.
About the role We are looking for a results-driven software tester responsible for designing and running tests on software usability to support the delivery of the ASC's sector and corporate software and systems. As a software tester, you'll be involved in the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment, conducting automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose and any bugs or issues are resolved before deployment.
About you The successful candidate should have a working knowledge of software and test design, the capability to run tests, the ability to analyse results, and work in an agile environment. You will be expected to be results-driven, have good communication skills, and up-to-date knowledge of software programming and software test design.
The successful candidate will have:
Proven experience as a software testerSolid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and practicesFamiliarity with both manual and automated testing toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesDetail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality software productsAbility to work in a fast-paced agile dynamic development environmentBachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field – essential but not mandatoryThis position is offered as a fixed-term position until 30 June 2025.

Eligibility To be eligible for this position, applicants are required to be Australian citizens only and must be able to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Security Clearance.
