Software Engineer
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Software / Control Systems Engineer to join our professional team in Echuca.
The position will be balanced with part-time home, part-time office and part-time onsite work, depending on customer requirements.
Our new Software / Controls Systems Engineer will participate in the entire lifecycle of projects, including design, configuration, commissioning, testing and training.
As a Control Systems Engineer, you will design, develop, and implement software applications to support industrial hardware & machines.
Key Responsibilities include:
Electrical and Control Design
Development of PLC & HMI Functional Specifications
Development and Commissioning of PLC code for specified projects
Co-ordination of electrical and software aspects for specified projects
On-site commissioning
Client liaison
Problem-Solving
Electrical Risk Assessments & Documentation
About you:
The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to problem-solving and must be able to work with a team to achieve a common goal across a broad range of software disciplines.
You will be a team player with a high level of initiative, take ownership of assigned tasks, and be able to see through to completion by prioritisation and effective time management.
Pioneering the 4th Industrial Revolution, you will work closely with your team as we design the factory and production lines of the future.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Computer Science (Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field).
Knowledge and experience in the design, installation and testing of software or controls systems.
HMI and PLC Programming
Machine Commissioning and fault finding
Proficient in Siemens and AB platforms
Preferable to have an electrical background
Experience with ABB Robotics would be advantageous
Superior attention to detail and the ability to identify errors and rectify them
Hold a current Australian driver's licence and be able to travel to customers' sites.
Salary Package: $90,000 - $110,000 a year
Job Type: Full-time
Shift and Schedule: 8-hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate: This position is based in Echuca, VIC. You need to be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.
Work Authorisation: Australia (Preferred)
