The Opportunity Due to organisational growth, we are on the search for a permanent full-time Site Manager to support the delivery of our commercial construction and refurbishment projects located in Canberra .
At AMA Projects, we believe that our Site Managers are key to our success. Our Site Managers work closely with all trades and the client to ensure all aspects of the project are delivered to the highest level of quality and care.
As a Site Manager in our team, you will be supported by a Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Safety Manager whilst managing all aspects of project delivery on the construction site.
You will be the first point of contact for AMA clients and have a positive 'can do' attitude, combined with the ability to meet challenging deadlines, whilst remaining balanced under pressure.

Our successful candidate will have:
Demonstrated experience in establishing site management plans and ensuring adherence at all times. A strong understanding of SWMS and associated documents, ensuring they are reviewed as required. A solid background in conducting site-specific inductions to ensure relevant and timely information is provided to all workers and visitors of the site. A commitment to housekeeping requirements on site ensuring clear access and egress points at all times. The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with existing tenants/building management on any impending operational requirements related to site works. Demonstrated experience conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance with SWMS and AMA Projects' procedures. A commitment to conducting Toolbox meetings as required with all actions noted in a timely manner. Expertise in reporting hazards, incidents, and business improvements to the Project Manager in a timely manner. Safety management experience and also the ability to show initiative for improving site conditions. A high level of organisation and administration skills to ensure all documentation is kept relevant and up-to-date. Construction Management or a Trade Qualification is highly desirable for this position. A White Card, Asbestos Awareness, and First Aid are advantageous.
