Job DescriptionWorking closely with the Power Solutions and Engineering Design Managers you will conduct site inspections across Australia to gather detailed information on power supply options, existing electrical infrastructure, underground services, and EV charger bay layouts.
You will also develop site inspection reports and associated material to capture relevant data.
Working with the Engineering team to develop detailed designs from concept to IFC and the NRMA Energy business units to provide Engineering services associated with land acquisition, infrastructure procurement, delivery, and commissioning.
What You'll Do Provide desktop evaluations of candidate locations, and support field inspection activities, in coordination with the Acquisition teamConduct site inspections and develop site inspection reportsReview of switchboards, both existing and new designs, to facilitate the deployment of EV charging assetsProduce initial site plans based on site inspection reports and internal stakeholder feedbackDevelop design drawings to enable the best outcomes for proposed NRMA Energy installationsLiaise with local contractors and agree on technical requirements needed for electrical power distribution equipment and EV charging stationsReview detailed schematics from suppliers and address any required changesWhat You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronic, Controls Systems)Qualified Electrician (even if only restricted) would be highly regarded5+ years Engineering experience: Design of Electrical LV infrastructure, including switchboardsConnection processes with DNSP's across all Australian jurisdictionsAutoCAD expertise would be highly regardedExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProven ability to interact with multiple functions to deliver goalsAbility to travel throughout AustraliaPassionate about continuous improvement, process efficiency and collaborationExperience with EV charging stations would be advantageous but is not essentialWhat's in it for you?
