About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) Team on a full time basis.
This position is based at our Atlas mine site, which boasts new and modern camp facilities, is approx.
3-hour drive from Mildura or a 4-hour drive from Central Victoria depending on your location!
From either Mildura or Balranald, you can securely lock up your car, sit back and relax on the regularly scheduled bus ride to and from Atlas.
Although this position is based at our Atlas mine site, this role also supports our Broken Hill Processing Plant and Ginkgo mining mine rehabilitation operation, which you will have the opportunity to travel to, when required.

Reporting into the Safety Manager, the SHEQ Coordinator position supports the administration, execution and improvement of the EOPS Safety and Health Management Plan across all the sites.
Primary Responsibilities: SHEQ Systems & Risk Management: Collate and assist in the preparation of internal and external SHEQ systems/risk/regulatory data and reports.
Participate in the development, review, and improvement of SHEQ systems, risk procedures, and improvement plans.
Conduct SHEQ systems/risk inspections, audits, and assessments for relevant areas and processes.
Monitor compliance with SHEQ systems, risk regulatory standards, and business requirements.
Collate Incident & Risk Management: Participate and facilitate incident investigations and SHEQ risk assessments.
Engage in SHEQ systems/risk workshops and discussions with regulators and stakeholders.
Assist in SHEQ systems/risk projects and improvement initiatives.
Operational Support & Collaboration: Provide visible operational support and partner with site personnel.
Monitor activities of other personnel, including contractors, to ensure SHEQ compliance.
Training & Competency Development: Deliver SHEQ systems/risk training and conduct competency assessments.
Occupational Health & Emergency Response: Assist and support occupational hygiene monitoring programs.
Assist with emergency response and render first aid as required.
Assist and support the coordinating of injury management cases.
Organize and oversee health and employee wellbeing programs and services.
Ideally, the successful candidate for this role will have: Experience in a similar role, preferably within the mineral sands industry Have a Trade or Operations back ground (highly regarded but not essential).
Previous exposure in being part, facilitating or leading safety investigations Experience in injury management coordination (desirable but not essential) Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety would be advantageous however Tronox would support study towards this qualification for the right candidate.
