ROLE PURPOSE
We are looking for a suitably qualified Sheetmetal Trades Worker.
OPERATING ENVIRONMENT
Located at Picton, working with a team of motivated people to ensure the efficient fabrication and delivery of products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Fabrication of projects from prepared drawings.Accurate mark out of jobs, cutting and profiling of items for projects.Proficient with welding stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel using MIG, TIG, or stick.
TIG welding of stainless steel is to be emphasised as a must-have skill.Work unsupervised and independently and display effective problem-solving skills.Operate punch and shear, saws, and hand tools.Operate press and guillotine and tube bender.Provide supervision and instruction to trainee/assistant.Completion of projects ready for delivery per time schedules.Quality Assurance reporting and peer checking of work.Assist weekly clean up of work areas, tool check, and weekend lockdown.Clean up of immediate work area after each project completion.Assist with site installation if required.Forklift operation if required.Completion of projects within time schedules and obtaining final sign off for job, defect-free.Work safely and to procedures in SWMS.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Tradesman Certificate.White Card Licence and Drivers Licence.A minimum of 3 years previous experience in a similar role/industry.PERFORMANCE GOALS Improve process efficiency and throughput.Scrap reduction.Nil employee injury.Outstanding product quality.SALARY
$74,000.00 to $78,000.00 per annum.
