About The Company This opportunity lies within a multinational corporation that leads the world in the design, manufacturing and maintenance of heavy equipment commonly found within ports across the globe.

The Role In this role you will be responsible for a team of up to ten technicians that have either an electrical or mechanical trade qualification so a strong understanding across both fields is highly valuable.
You will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis so a strong relationship management and leadership mindset is exactly what we are looking for.
Key responsibilities: Ensure all site service employees comply with company procedures and regulationsEnsure compliance of site maintenance agreementEnsure servicing is on time and up to dateEnsure repair work is carried out efficiently to minimise machine down timeDevelop additional business within the port operationContribute to service jobs where work or support is neededContinuously learns about new equipmentSupervise technical team to ensure effective utilisation of client's equipmentSupervise all site human resource issues and ensure compliance with all site and company regulationsDevelop technical workforce as in line with business development needsCompliance with site service and operating budgetPrepare investment budget in line with operating budgetProvide regular and timely financial reporting to Services DirectorProvide regular and timely personnel utilisation reporting to the Services DirectorRequirements: Mechanical / electrical engineering tertiary qualification or; Formal trade qualification (mechanical / electrical)Must have leadership experience within a mechanical or electrical industryExperience with cranes in the mechanical handling, port or industrial operations industry sectorPrevious experience in using a computer-based service and or maintenance management systemAbility to plan efficient service executionExceptional people management skillsProject managementKnowledge in operating to a budgetKnowledge in maintaining an investment budgetKnowledge in maintaining spare parts inventoryNext Step If you are a motivated leader with a passion for achieving results in a timely manner and you have the desire to join a dynamic team, we would love to hear from you.
