About the role: The Service Manager for JHH Outpatients is accountable for the delivery of clinical care within the defined scope of practice; outcomes of patient care delivery; professional development of staff; and the efficient and effective management of human, financial and material resources within the Outpatient Service. The position will lead and manage the overall deployment of services within the Outpatient Service, ensuring that strategic and operational KPI’s and objectives are achieved through the delivery of quality services that reflect the District's overarching strategy of Excellence, Every Patient, Every Time. The role will work in close partnership with a Senior Project Leader, Data and Activity Manager, Executive Director Information Communication, Technology and the JHH General Manager as part of a major transformation of the outpatient services. Where you'll be working: The John Hunter Hospital (JHH) is the major tertiary teaching hospital and referral centre for the Hunter New England Local Health District. JHH provides a range of services to a population of more than 800,000 people across the Hunter Valley, Central Coast, New England, and Mid North Coast regions. The John Hunter Hospital provides comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to provide our patients with the highest quality of care across a broad range of specialties. The John Hunter Hospital Outpatients services approximately 500 patients per day across 82 clinic rooms in the North and South Block of the hospital.The multidisciplinary team provide comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to provide our patients with the highest quality of care across a broad range of specialties. About you: You are a highly motivated individual with excellent leadership skills and a strong, positive approach with a focus on customer service, clinical quality and staff morale. You have a demonstrated ability to plan for and act on issues quickly, decisively and effectively with superior communication, negotiation, influencing and analytical and problem solving skills. You will utilise your demonstrated experience in effectively representing an organisation at internal and public forums and developing strong and enduring relationships with internal and external key stakeholders to deliver improved outcomes for patient care and achievement of organisational objectives.
