About the role: Meals on Wheels Chermside is seeking a Service Manager to manage the receipt and delivery of meals to clients, liaising with clients, families, and carers. This primarily administrative position includes establishing relationships with new and existing volunteers, recruiting and coordinating volunteer rosters, and managing volunteer enquiries and concerns. This role commences in December 2024.
About you: The successful candidate will have:
Strong Computer Proficiency: Experience in MS Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively liaise with clients, families, and carers regarding meal changes, inquiries, and concerns, including challenging situations.Relationship-Building: Proven ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients, volunteers, and community partners. Plan and organise events and activities that engage with new and existing volunteers.Organisational Skills: Strong administrative skills to manage meal delivery logistics and maintain accurate records.Adaptability: Ability to handle organisational change effectively.Cultural Awareness: Understanding and sensitivity to the needs of diverse populations, including those from different cultural, socioeconomic, and age groups.Volunteer Management: Experience in recruiting, coordinating, and managing volunteer rosters.
