Feros Care is proud to partner with the NDIS to deliver Local Area Coordination (LAC) services in Townsville, Mackay, Canberra and Adelaide. We are searching for an experienced leader who can provide exceptional support and guidance to our existing LAC team. As an expert in the disability sector, the Service Area Manager will ensure our Local Area Coordinators are equipped to support the outcomes and goals identified by our participants. This role will guarantee our participants are exercising choice and control, achieving independence and living their best life! The Role: The Service Area Manager will play a central role in providing exemplary leadership, supervision, support and mentoring to the mobile LAC team across our footprint. Your primary responsibilities will include: Ensure the LAC service is meeting NDIA requirement and standards through effective time management and effective stakeholder liaisons Guide and mentor the LAC team through timely performance management and review to continuously deliver service requirements Work in collaboration with the LAC team to advocate wellbeing and empowerment for people with disability Working closely with the General Manager, review and contribute to the LAC program service strategy and operational planning process Ensure the delivery of participant-driven holistic services and proactive and strategic management of the National Disability Insurance Agency’s communications and stakeholder engagement Essential requirements for this role: A relevant qualification in disability, community services, child services, or lived experience of disability 5+ years management experience should you not hold a tertiary qualification Demonstrated experience in managing large teams, including mobile workforce across the regional footprint Demonstrated sound resource management with a high level understanding of business viability needs Ability to think and act at a strategic level and successfully drive and implement change Sound knowledge and/or practical experience within the disability sector High level computer skills with the ability to problem solve and address inevitable system interruptions to ensure business continuity Current clean unrestricted drivers licence Availability to attend initial training and orientation in our head office on the Gold Coast Ability to travel interstate The recruitment process: You’ll read this ad with a smile on your face and decide to apply We’ll reach out for a quick chat over the phone Meet some of the crew in an interview You’re in, you got the job!
