The role:
Lead testing design and quality assurance methodologies on the data warehouse platform to ensure data products are being tested and assured its quality throughout the environments from source systems to access provisioning.
Liaise with project teams as an internal specialist consultant, in order to correctly interpret what is required of the testing process and provide leadership, advice and communicate testing outcomes.
Ensure the implementation of quality testing methods to align with best practice ICT testing frameworks which encompasses strategies, policies, processes, templates, tools and standards.
Develop project Test Strategy and Test Plan(s) within a requirements and risks based testing and assurance framework.
Manage various types of testing in line with the Test Strategy, including the provision of test environment, technical support, and documentation reviews.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of testing and technical specialties and provide expert advice and guidance on any aspect of test planning and execution.
Lead the review of technical and business design requirements and identifies alternative solutions.
Manage ICT testing resource requirements according to project schedules to meet project milestones.

The ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated experience working in the data warehouse performing testing on the data products.
Demonstrated experience in the planning of the system and acceptance tests and an excellent understanding of testing methodologies, tools and techniques within a large, complex IM/ICT program/project(s) environment. (SFIA Skill: TEST: Level 5)
Demonstrated experience in the implementation of quality testing methods and frameworks to ensure the integrity of testing and an ability to develop project test strategies, test products and cases. (SFIA Skill: TEST: Level 5)
Demonstrated experience in all phases of testing, including plans, resources, costs, timescales, test deliverables and auditability for large, complex IM/ICT program/project(s). (SFIA Skill: TEST: Level 5)
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with key internal project stakeholders and external technology vendors in order to partner with and engage them in delivering the required IM/ICT outcomes.
Demonstrated high level analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills with a proven record in the assessment and evaluation of testing requirements within a complex IM/ICT environment.
Ability to lead, manage and mentor a multi-disciplinary team. (NHS: Leading change through people)
