Senior Technical and Claims Advocate - SpecialtyTechnical and Claims Advocate | SydneyAs our Technical and Claims Advocate, you will be responsible for liaising with internal and external stakeholders and management of a client's general claim from its initiation through to its resolution.Supporting a core client segment within Aon, the Financial Services Group (FSG) supports the provision of key specialty insurance products across multiple industries.You will be allocated a portfolio of claims in which you will be the primary point of contact for the client and the insurer and be responsible to ensure the claims are managed within the agreed KPIs in place and be the day-to-day contact for the claim from the initial notification through to finalisation. It is expected you will also handle training and development of claims consultants' nationwide.What the day will look likePrimary contact for a portfolio of client and insurance claims ensuring claims are managed within the agreed timelinesAdvocacy on complex Financial Lines and Transaction Liability Insurance matters, including but not limited to strategy and front-end advice regarding coverage and liability issues and potential loss-minimisation measures;Monitor and review of regulatory and case law developments and the production of client advisory white papers;Financial Lines and Transaction Liability Insurance policy advice and drafting, including but not limited to policy comparisons and the production of manuscript Aon policy endorsements / policy forms to address key client exposures;Ongoing review and advisory around insurer claims behaviour and the delivery of those insights for the benefit of Aon clients;Participation in business development opportunities, including policy wording health-checks, technical and claims commentary in tenders and involvement in new business presentationsSkills and experience that will lead to successCommercial claims experience, with a strong working knowledge of Financial LinesExperience taking on additional role responsibilities with the ability to take on senior tasksAbility to work and positively contribute as a member of the teamAbility to apply a fit for purpose project management approachStrong prioritisation and time management skillsWell-developed verbal and written communication skills to drive positive outcomes with key stakeholdersOutcome focussed – able to overcome obstacles and deliver designated outcomesHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailHow we support our colleaguesIn addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
