Job Opportunity: Senior Structural Engineer (Oil & Gas)Wood is recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer (Oil & Gas) to join our growing team in Darwin, NT. This is a permanent role to join our expanding Oil and Gas Operations team, due to recently securing several large projects with existing long-term clients, in addition to partnering with a major player in the Oil & Gas industry to provide Brownfield Engineering, Procurement and Construction services on a long-term, Engineering Service Contract.
Wood's Operations Australia / Asia Pacific (West) business delivers engineering & brownfield modifications, operations & maintenance, procurement, construction, asset management and optimization, and technical services to the Oil & Gas sector - with long-term partnerships supporting the region's most prominent producers located in the Northern Territory, Western Australia, and South-East Asia.
You will be an Australian citizen or be eligible to hold Permanent Residency (PR) to work lawfully in Australia. Those with visa applications already in progress are also encouraged to apply.
Requirements:Currently based in Darwin / willing to relocate to Darwin.Suitably qualified engineer with a degree from a recognized institution.Proven experience in the Oil & Gas sector in Australia.6+ years relevant experience as a Structural Engineer in Oil & Gas.Experience in Offshore site environment and site surveying/scoping.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with the client.Effective time management skills and ability to prioritise.Experience in the use of relevant software packages (e.g. SACS, StaadPro).Experience in the use of API, AISC and ISO design codes.It takes a diverse and inclusive community of inquisitive minds to unlock tomorrow's solutions to the world's most critical challenges.
