The primary role of the IT Application function is to analyze, design, develop, and maintain IT applications based on business requirements across all business functionalities. Key deliverables include using current programming languages and source code to develop, test, debug complex applications and provide post-production support within the agreed time, quality, performance, and budget constraints. Working closely with key stakeholders, DBAs, and system administration to define and document technical specifications and schedule.
Let's talk about Responsibilities The primary objective of Business Systems Analysis specialization within IT Applications is to analyze complex business problems to be solved through deployment of digital and automation technology solutions. Key responsibilities include providing technical expertise in formulating business requirements for system functional specifications; defining and documenting processes, procedures, and data flows of business systems; configuring system settings and options; planning and executing unit, integration, and acceptance testing to meet business requirements; providing consultation to users; leading cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues. Performs work in a specialized area of expertise that requires knowledge of fundamental themes, principles, and concepts. Typically requires a university degree or equivalent work experience. Responsibilities might include: Performing routine professional-based activities (early in career) Contributing to and managing projects (mid-career) Providing advice/direction in primary areas of expertise (specialist and expert) Leveraging professional expertise and relationships to contribute to strategy and drive business results (principal) Networks with contacts outside own area of expertise. Leads a cooperative effort among members of a project team. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. Frequently leads sub-functional teams or projects and trains and mentors junior team members. Serves as a best practice resource within own area of work. Let's talk about Qualifications and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree. Minimum of 8 years of related experience. Applies functional knowledge and existing methodologies to solve complex problems or execute specialized projects. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.
