Senior Solution Designer - Appian Level 3
Job Description
How will I help?
You are a passionate Engineer/Consultant with Appian Lead Developer certification and have 8+ years of experience in Appian Designing. You have extensive experience in building workflow applications including Case management, BPM and workflow, with a focus on automating end-to-end business processes. You have experience in integrating with external services through API, writing reusable custom components, and exposing Appian workflows capabilities as API(s).
The role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, or Brisbane.
What you will be doing:

Designing and implementing Workflow Solutions in Appian.
Designing and building POC(s) for new capabilities and proving hypotheses.
Working closely with Product Owners, Architects, and delivery teams to build systems that drive Westpac towards its strategic platform vision.
Performing discovery and estimations for Feature hypotheses.
Knowledge transfer throughout the organization via participation in communities of practice, appropriate documentation, and internal presentations establishing thought leadership and capability excellence on Westpac's platform.
Leading a team of designers.

What do I need?

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
Profound knowledge of Appian integrating with any external cloud/on-premise systems.
Appian Level 3 Certified.
Programming Languages - Java, SQL.
Scaled Agile delivery experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficiency in API engineering including OpenAPI and Swagger.
CICD Automations - Chef, Jenkins, Ansible.
Experience in Kubernetes-based container orchestration.
Domain expertise in finance, credit risk, fraud, and/or marketing.
