We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team here in Hobart.
You'll join our rendering team building the next generation rendering and painting engine that drives existing and future products.
Develop custom GPU technologies for the fastest 64-bit painting engine on iOS.
The roleThis role sits within the Product team and reports directly to the CTO, Michael Shaw.
You'll work directly with all members of the Product team, the CPO and CEO as well as members of the Product Care department.
What you'll doWork on our next generation virtual texturing based rendering and painting engineSolve complex and unique technical problems in a realtime and memory constrained environmentDevelop next generation software that pushes the hardware to its limitsWork with our product designers, product owner and engineers to deliver industry-leading graphics experiences and functionalityRequired SkillsFirm understanding of systems programming in C/C++Experience with CPU/GPU optimization and debuggingExperience with a modern graphics API (Metal/Vulkan/DirectX 11)Deep understanding of modern rendering pipelines and hardware in a realtime domainCompetence in linear algebra and trigonometryExperience writing vertex/fragment and compute shadersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBonus SkillsExperience in other systems programming languages such as Rust/Zig/OdinExperience working with mobile Tile-Based Deferred Rendering GPUsWhat to expect in the first 6-12 monthsComplete the Procreate onboarding process and get to know your colleaguesBuild an understanding of our products, development practices, processes and frameworksProvide support to our graphic enginesPrepare and support the execution of core graphics featuresEstablish relationships with inter-departmental key stakeholdersBecome an integral and contributing part of our rendering teamShip productWe want to hear from youOur recruitment process is made to provide you with opportunities for you to show us what you're capable of, instead of assessing you solely on your CV.
