Our Data and BI team is seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer / Kafka Administrator with extensive experience in an AWS environment. This role is to develop, maintain and support our many Kafka Streams within our real time 24x7 operational framework.What you'll do
You will maintain Kafka ~ ensuring the overall health and performance of the platform, As Kafka Administrator, you will be responsible for building, installing, configuring, and maintaining Kafka clusters to ensure their optimal functionality. Your role will include on-call support to monitor Kafka cluster connectivity and security, manage and review Kafka log files, and assist in developing, maintaining, and supporting Kafka integrations. Collaboration with development teams will be essential as you help design and utilize Kafka applications. You will troubleshoot and resolve any Kafka performance issues, system failures, and outages, performing data modelling, testing, and tuning to ensure the performance and reliability of Kafka.
What you'll bring
Proven experience as Kafka Administrator with a strong understanding of Kafka architecture and internals Extensive experience in an AWS environment Hands-on experience with Kafka brokers, Zookeepers, KSQL, KConnect, and Schema Registry, plus proficiency in managing Kafka clusters, including configuration, monitoring, and security. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues and system failures Experience in data modelling, testing, and performance tuning
