Senior Safeguarding OfficerLocation: SwindonType: Full timeReporting to: Head of SafeguardingSalary: 32kDovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Swindon.Role PurposeTargeted interventions to address day-to-day or long-term challenges.Act as a senior member of the safeguarding team, overseeing safeguarding referrals, deputizing for the Head of Safeguarding, and supervising Safeguarding Coordinators.ResponsibilitiesProvide pastoral support to students, addressing issues such as anxiety, behavior, mental health, and safeguarding concerns.Act as a senior member of the Safeguarding Team, handling safeguarding referrals and liaising with external agencies.Maintain accurate records of student support activities and safeguarding actions in systems.Serve as a primary contact for staff with concerns about students, offering advice and guidance on appropriate interventions.Support looked-after children and young carers by ensuring they receive appropriate care and attention.Supervise and support Safeguarding Coordinators, managing workloads, priorities, and ensuring cases are properly closed.RequirementsExperience of working in a Safeguarding/Child Protection role.At least 3 years working in related fields.Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.Ability to maintain effective working relationships with vulnerable people.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Right to work in the UK.If this job is of interest to you, please apply with your CV.Because education matters.
