About the Role In this 12-month fixed term opportunity reporting to Manager Sewerage Strategy & Policy, the role of Senior Project Manager is pivotal for developing and implementing plans to enable Melbourne Water to appropriately manage opportunities and risks associated with its sewerage services over the long term.
The Senior Project Manager will lead collaborative work, including liaison with a broad range of subject matter experts, internally and externally including Retail Water Corporations, regulators and stakeholders to ensure that plans meet the diverse needs of these groups.
Lead planning work associated with addressing coastal hazards at the Western Treatment Plant (WTP) including both internal Melbourne Water projects and programs and interaction with external projects and programs including the DEECA Adapt West Project Lead the delivery of the agreed scope(s) of work, including other planning work as needed.
Proactively monitor and report on project status and risk Lead a collaborative group(s) of subject matter experts to develop and implement long-term plans for Melbourne Water's sewerage services.
Manage external service providers, consultants and contractors.
Manage budgets accurately and contributing information to support business planning and economic regulatory processes to secure any necessary future funding.

Demonstrated knowledge across entire project lifecycle, covering initiation, planning, execution, and closure.
Previous experience in developing and managing trusted relationships across internal and external stakeholder, particularly within industry or government highly regarded.
Demonstrated experience with sewage treatment and coastal hazards highly advantageous.
Tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience, which demonstrates aptitude and capability in complex program/project delivery.
