The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Townsville team. In this newly created role, you will be pivotal in the planning and execution of work scopes across our diverse project portfolio. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity within a growing and collaborative team, with development opportunities for a Project Manager pathway.
Responsibilities:
Effective management of work programmes to safely deliver multiple projects concurrentlyManage and lead scope, cost, schedule, quality and resources throughout the project lifecycle to achieve client objectives, ranging from multidisciplinary Engineering and Design to full EPCMProgramming and planning of the works, including the preparation, monitoring and updating of plans, working to weekly and monthly programsEngage with internal stakeholders, including engineering and design teams across multiple locations, to ensure they are well informed of project objectives, scope and progressInterpret engineering designs and deliverables, collaborating across internal engineering and design teams for effective, innovative technical solutionsMaintain project tracking, report status updates and effectively escalate any major issues promptly to the leadership teamAnalyse complex issues and develop effective strategies to deliver solutionsIdentify risks and opportunities, enabling their visibility amongst stakeholders and ensuring relevant mitigation controls are in placeFacilitate and participate in project deliverables review meetingsProactively engage and collaborate effectively, navigate complex issues and continue to strengthen respectful relationships with our valued clients and stakeholdersExecute a working knowledge of contractual and legislation relevant to the projectThe Ideal Candidate:
Relevant Engineering qualifications (civil, structural, mechanical or electrical infrastructure works)10+ years' experience in the successful delivery of projects across multiple clients and stakeholders, in the mineral resource, materials handling or energy sectorsLead by example, creating a culture of safety, quality, and environmental awarenessHave obtained RPEQ or capable of demonstrating necessary career experience(s) to enable the gaining of RPEQ status.Able to manage and oversee the full lifecycle of projects, identify risks and engage relevant mitigation processesThe ability to work autonomously, to organise and prioritise demands and handle multiple complex tasks simultaneouslyKnowledge of project financial management, forecasting and contracts management functionsExcellent communication and relationship-building skills, you are capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all organisational levelsSelf-motivated and decisive, adaptable to change and competing demandsWhy Join BG&E Resources QLD?
