Department of Housing Housing Delivery; Social Housing Delivery Office; Social & Affordable Housing Growth; Brisbane City Social Housing Delivery Office provide and influence the provision of safe, secure, affordable, and appropriate housing to the people of Queensland, and the building of vibrant and connected precincts and communities in which they live. We influence, plan, design, procure and contract the delivery of contemporary housing solutions that meet the needs of our clients, reflect local community needs, and support jobs in regional Queensland. We maintain, upgrade and renew a housing portfolio of over 62,500 dwellings to ensure our tenants are safe, secure and in housing that continues to meet their needs.As Senior Program Officer, you will create a wide range of financial and target delivery reports, summaries of project documentation and guidelines as required. You will require an innovative approach to providing more streamlined reporting protocols and will develop, manage and deliver capital works projects for government within departmental standards, on time and on budget.What you will be doing:Establishing, monitoring and maintaining a program of construction projects in accordance with department approved budgets and deliverables.Developing, implementing and maintaining an appropriate reporting database and regime to enable project and program planning and monitoring of target outputs, including the anticipation and informing of future reporting needs.Preparing timely and well researched briefings, reports, budgets, submissions, ministerial and departmental correspondence on projects, major operational issues and progress towards targets.Regularly reviewing current and future budgets, liaising between the service delivery provider and the finance team to ensure discrepancies are corrected where appropriate.Managing multiple information requests, often at short notice, from various stakeholders and preparing accurate responses, reports and advice in an effective and timely manner, utilising time management and prioritisation skills.Monitoring and analysing trends, outcomes and opportunities to ensure the successful delivery of the SHDO's Capital Programs.Establishing productive working relationships with various business partners and stakeholders to source diverse information required to provide accurate and timely financial and capital delivery reports.Supporting and helping maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Further informationWe are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights and diversity .Please ensure you download all attachments and follow the instructions on how to apply.DocumentsBefore applying for this vacancy please ensure you read the documents below.
