Our Story At Safewill, we're reshaping end-of-life planning in Australia, making it more affordable, personal, and accessible for all.
Since our launch, we've grown rapidly and are now one of the country's fastest-growing tech companies.
We're backed by leading investors like Westpac's Reinventure Fund, Carthona Capital, and Flying Fox Ventures, and we're scaling fast.
But let's be real—working at a startup is challenging.
There's no playbook, and you'll be building from scratch most of the time.
We need a Senior Product Designer who can bring user-centric designs to life and work closely with our product and engineering teams to build experiences that solve real customer problems.
If you're someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves designing from scratch, this role is your perfect fit.
Your Story with Us As a Senior Product Designer at Safewill, you'll work within a tight-knit product squad, collaborating with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to design impactful, customer-driven solutions.
You'll be both strategic and hands-on, helping shape the user experience from ideation through to delivery.
We need someone who isn't afraid to experiment, push boundaries, and design intuitive, elegant solutions in a rapidly evolving space.
In the first 3-6 months, you will acquire domain expertise and get comfortable with our ways of working, with a focus on: Dive deep into understanding customer needs.
You'll use research, feedback, and data to shape design decisions that directly address customer pain points.
Collaborate with product managers and engineers, working side-by-side with your squad to turn ideas into workable, user-centric solutions.
Prototype, test, and iterate.
You'll quickly create prototypes and run user research, iterating based on feedback and real-world data.
Design for scale.
You'll ensure that our user experiences can scale as Safewill grows, balancing aesthetics with functionality.
Push for innovation.
You'll actively bring fresh design ideas to the table, ensuring our product stands out in a competitive market.
From 3 months onwards, you'll contribute to all aspects of design and team operations, including: Stay on top of emerging design trends and tools, bringing fresh, innovative ideas to the team to keep our products at the cutting edge of the industry.
Ensure design consistency by maintaining and contributing to Safewill's design system and brand guidelines across all products, ensuring a cohesive look and feel.
Balance speed and quality, prioritizing design tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship in all deliverables.
Collaborate continuously with cross-functional teams, acting as a bridge between design, product, engineering, and marketing to align on product releases and updates.
Facilitate design reviews and present your work to stakeholders, gathering feedback and ensuring alignment with the overall product vision and goals.
Mentor junior designers, offering guidance, feedback, and support to foster their growth and development within the team.
