As one of the country's leading and preferred defence partners, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) develops and sustains leading edge technologies for some of Australia's largest and most complex defence projects.
BDA is undergoing significant growth and is looking for a passionate Systems Engineer with experience in Security Systems Design to join our team. We are seeking technical professionals interested in working collaboratively across an interdisciplinary and multinational team on cutting edge systems, and developing exciting new technologies, to support and grow Australia's defence capability.
In this role, you will perform systems engineering activities to plan, design, develop and verify systems as they relate to Security. Leading a Systems Security team for the Currawong program, you will have responsibility to support projects in understanding requirements and design implications pertaining to Security and identify potential and realised performance and Security considerations.
You will also have the opportunity to actively promote the benefit of Systems Security across the organisation and contribute to the development and growth of this discipline within BDA.
To be successful you will have:
Excellent communication skills that enable you to influence outcomes in a team environment
Experience mentoring and leading small teams to deliver results
A continuous improvement mindset
Tertiary degree qualification in an engineering or related technical discipline
Thorough understanding of Systems Security design and accreditation requirements
Experience in security compliance and governance
Experience in a complex project environment would also be considered highly desirable.
