Senior Policy Coordinator

We are seeking a Senior Policy Coordinator to join QUT Governance, Administrative Division.
The Senior Policy Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the implementation and dissemination of the University's policy framework.
This position oversees the Manual of Policies and Procedures (MOPP) and offers expert advisory services, guidance, and resources to Policy Owners during the development and review of university policies.
Additionally, the role involves assisting the returning officer in conducting university elections for Council and committee memberships, and managing other university-wide ballots, such as those for Enterprise Agreements.
The Senior Policy Coordinator also collaborates with staff at all levels across the University.

What you need to succeed Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field together with extensive relevant work experience.
Excellent written communication skills, including significant policy development experience.
Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills, including experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders at a variety of levels, negotiating outcomes and taking a consultative approach to achieve positive outcomes.
Demonstrated high-level of analytical ability and initiative, including the capacity to organise and direct complex and long-term projects to meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to undertake detailed quality assurance and editorial work with an exceptional high degree of accuracy.
Demonstrated understanding of corporate governance principles and frameworks, and experience in the interpretation of legislation and government policy.
Demonstrated ability to work as part of multidisciplinary teams of staff, and to lead and manage work teams to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
