About Port Stephens Council (PSC)
Port Stephens is known for its incredible natural beauty and vibrant community, covering an area of close to 900 square kilometers and populated by over 75,000 people.
This opportunity will see you being responsible for the coordination and management of Council's contributions plans and related funding mechanisms in delivering the infrastructure required to service growth in our local government area.
This role has key functions related to the long term planning and coordination of infrastructure and will work closely with Council's internal stakeholders to deliver Council's strategic vision.
Overall integration of Council's strategic objectives is an important component, and this role will require skills in formulating both policy and operational responses with an inclusive, organisation-wide approach.
As a member of the Strategic Planning Unit, this role will undertake strategic planning duties including the issue of planning certificates; preparation and assessment of planning proposals, development control plans and strategic plans; community engagement; project management; and report writing.
