The Opportunity As the Senior Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with industrial instruments and employment contracts.
Responsibilities will include:
Preparing the assigned payroll on time and in an accurate manner.
Processing all employee movements including details for new employee's terminations and transfers.
Calculation and administration of entitlements under various Awards and Industrial Instruments.
Ensuring compliance with industrial instruments and relevant payroll legislation.
Award and EBA interpretation.
Continually reviewing and recommending improved processes to increase efficiencies.
Ensuring confidentiality of payroll and employee related personal information.
About You You will be an experienced Payroll Officer with knowledge of statutory payroll requirements, understanding of legislation requirements and salary packaging.
Experience will also include:
Proven experience in a large multi-site and multi agreement payroll environment.
Proven ability to interpret industrial instruments.
Experience in LSL legislation and calculations.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders within the organisation.
Payroll integration experience.
Termination and redundancy calculations.
Reconciliations.
PAYG Calculations and payments.
Payroll systems knowledge such as Preceda, Kronos preferred.
