Senior Payroll Officer - $125,000 package 22nd October, 2024 The Company
Our client has been a global leader in their industry for over 50 years, providing world-class products & services to their extensive client base all over the world. With the Australian business expanding and due to a recent restructure, they are looking for a Senior Payroll Officer to join the business. Based in the Ryde/Parramatta area, this is a great opportunity for an experienced payroller who likes to drive process improvement and change to join a company that forecasts significant growth over the next 5 years.
The Role
You will be responsible for the full payroll processing of 300 staff. Reporting to the HR Director, your responsibilities include:
End-to-end payroll processing for 300 employees using Access MicroPay. Process fortnightly and monthly payroll, including commission, bonuses, and overtime payments. Process terminations and redundancies in accordance with statutory laws. Prepare and lodge accurate monthly payroll tax returns to relevant states. Prepare and lodge monthly reports on superannuation to various superannuation funds. Reconciliation and completion of annual PAYG Payment Summaries in ATO's STP. Preparation of wages estimates and declarations for Workers Compensation Insurance. Prepare payroll end-of-month reconciliations and reports / management reports for HR. Maintenance and update of employees' personal and payroll details. Calculate, process, and maintain employee salary sacrifice as required. Generate reports on outstanding annual leave balances on a monthly basis. Liaise with and resolve payroll issues / general enquiries with employees and management. Documentation and improvement of payroll processes and procedures. Preferred Experience Experience with Micropay payroll or other large systems (Chris, ADP, etc). Sound understanding of statutory payment obligations. Excellence in provision of services to all stakeholders. Able to meet conflicting deadlines, for example, month-end, superannuation, and pay dates. Accuracy of data and attention to detail. Able to work autonomously and use initiative.
