Ventia is currently seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Payroll Administrator - to join the team on a fixed term 6 month contract basis.
About the Role:
Located in Ventia’s Parramatta Office and reporting into the Payroll Manager – theSenior Payroll Administratoris responsible for processing time attendance and payroll records in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with company policy and legislative requirements.
This role is also a fundamental part of supporting the end-to-end delivery of all payroll functions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Support and process end to end delivery of all payroll functions, including the preparation, processing and maintenance of all related records and payroll payments.Ensure all payroll input and maintenance has appropriate authorisation and is accurately processed and in timely manner by pay cycle.
Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records.
Ensure all payroll deadlines are adhered to for accurate and timely disbursement of EFT for wages and salaries by pay cycle.
Completes payroll reports for contract or managerial review.
Manage payroll queries in a timely and efficient manner and resolve within agreed servicelevel timeframes.
Ensure time and payroll data integrity audits are conducted each payroll cycle and prior to EFT finalisation
Effective and timely management of recovery of overpayments ensuring phone calls and communications are made upon identification of overpaid wages or salary.
Ensure compliance with relevant state and federal legislation and requirements, EBAs and employee contracts.
Maintain the integrity of payroll data, ensuring all changes have appropriate authorisation and documentation and comply with policies, EBA/Award and legislation.
Provide weekly cash-flow forecasting to treasury.
Ensure accurate and timely execution of termination calculations and payments including disbursement of final payslip and separation certificate documents.
Support Year End process for Australia / New Zealand along with monthly reconciliations and reviews that ensure year end is seamless.
Key Experience and Skills:
Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role
Solid experience and knowledge in end-to-end payroll processing.
Sound knowledge and experience in the use of SAP payroll
Computer literate with strong skills in Excel, Word and Email, sound knowledge of Internet applications.
High level of attention to detail, initiative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Self-management and prioritising - excellent organisational / time management skills.
Excellent customer service skills with focus to increase customer satisfaction through implementation of higher value standards.
Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
Flexible attitude to working hours and possible requirement to work additional hours to meet payroll deadlines and demand.
Self-starter, ability to work autonomously, learn quickly when facing new situations, open to change, demonstrates a genuine willingness to learn from feedback and experience.
