About Your Role:
This position is a new and exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team of Health Professionals. The Occupational Therapist role is an important member of the SNF program team providing consultation and ongoing oversight to the health, wellbeing and development of children and family functioning. Contributing through presentation of clients at MDT case review and individual consultation with nurse home visitors.
They have an important role in using their expertise to provide insight into the child and family's health and wellbeing and helping to identify potential issues before they arise.
We are looking for an experienced paediatric occupational therapist, who can provide input relating to a child's occupational performance and underlying factors which may be impacting on this, and considers environmental and social factors, including family capabilities and culture when providing support options. You will be provided with support and supervision organised in a formal arrangement within the MLHD as well as working as part of a passionate and supportive Occupational Therapy group across the district. We are looking for a motivated and flexible occupational therapist who demonstrates a commitment to positive outcomes for clients, enjoys working as part of a team and is willing to engage in ongoing professional learning and development.
