Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Senior Mining Engineer to join our Technical Services team.
This role is ideal for individuals with a strong skill set in mining engineering who are ready to contribute to enhancing mine designs and processes.
You will support integrated planning processes for mining operations, ensuring that production and development meet defined targets.
This position operates on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster reporting directly to the Technical Services Superintendent.
Core Responsibilities Optimize ore extraction through effective technical and financial planning while adhering to statutory, environmental, and budget constraints.Provide leadership focused on superior safety and best practices.Undertake design work for Stope Notes and Panel Notes to influence safe and optimized stoping outcomes.Develop and guide the weekly operational plan.Assist operations in achieving short to mid-term goals while keeping long-term planning objectives in mind.Mentor and support the engineering team.Oversee and approve drill and blast plans to meet weekly targets and prepare plans as necessary.Contribute to mid- and long-term scheduling and design.About you You will have a tertiary qualification in Mine Engineering or a related field with at least 3 years of experience in a Senior position at an underground hard rock mine.
Desirable candidates will be proficient in deswick software and Microsoft suite.
