Responsibilities: The role will be supporting the project team to deliver the required scope, quality, schedule and cost.
Responsible for managing the engineering and technical aspects from identification of the need through to handover.
The role holder will ensure that the design documentation covers the scope of operations required by the Project Manager and is produced to agreed standards, schedule and budget.
This will also include ensuring the processes and activities being managed are appropriately documented with appropriate records maintained and configuration and quality controls applied.
The role holder will be required to comply with effective Quality Management Arrangements, operating and delivering through compliance with the Business Management System and Technical Manual.
Qualifications: A degree, degree apprentice or demonstrable time served in an appropriate engineering discipline.
Chartered Engineer, registered with Engineering Council (or actively working towards).
Essential Skills: The post holder must be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge and sound understanding of engineering practice required in the technical management of complex design development throughout the design lifecycle:
Capital Equipment Mechanical Handling Systems Steel and Aluminium Handling and Processing Industries Heavy Industry Workshop and Process Lines Maritime Defence Oil / Gas / Subsea Sound project specification, planning, project management and budgeting experience to support design, construction / manufacture, acceptance, installation, operation and repair.
Experience: Experience of substantiation of process equipment for justification of Nuclear Safety Functions.
Experience using:
