Join to apply for the Senior Mechanical Engineer role at UGL 3 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Join to apply for the Senior Mechanical Engineer role at UGL UGL's Fuels and Energy East business is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer specialising in mechanical and piping systems to work across brownfield and asset maintenance projects for fuel terminals or petrochemical settings under our PEM&AM contract.Reporting to the Lead Mechanical Engineer you will w ork with a team of engineers and designers to provide reliable technical expertise ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to an exceptional standard.This hybrid role can be based in either our Brisbane or Melbourne office, both in the Southbank area convenient to public transport.
Occasional site visits will be required.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide mechanical and piping engineering design, ensuring top-quality deliverables that align with project and business needs.
Contribute to the preparation of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) and isometric drawings.
Prepare engineering datasheets and conduct technical evaluations Support procurement processes, vendor data review, and commissioning activities.
Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
About You10+ years of detailed engineering design experience, particularly in the resource, oil & gas, or petrochemical industries.
Expertise in pipe stress, nozzle loading, and pipe support loading, as well as experience with bulk storage tank construction.
Hold a tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
Registered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and RPEQ qualified.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage multiple stakeholders.
