About the Role:
Based at our Perth office, we are currently seeking suitably qualified and energetic Senior Mechanical and Piping Engineer who can also take on both project and technical engineering responsibilities.
Ideally you will have at least 10 years' previous Mechanical Engineering experience in the Gas and Energy sector, and experience on pipelines and facilities construction projects, major EPC projects and/or Infrastructure projects will be advantageous.
We are looking for someone who has experience working through all cycles of a project from design into commissioning and handover.
The right candidate will have experience leading and mentoring junior engineers.
To be successful, you will preferably have experience with elements of the following in the Australian on-shore oil and gas infrastructure project environment:
Preparation of technical documentation,Engineering input and checking of design deliverables (documents and drawings),Experience with engineering calculations,Complete engineering tasks within the allocated timeframe to the specified quality level,Attend internal and external project meetings as required to support project management and discipline lead,Assist in updating progress percentage, forecast manhours and forecast completion dates for all deliverables,Familiarity with the relevant Australian and International Standards,Provide technical engineering advice and support,Liaison with clients and suppliers,Procurement and package engineering,Material take-off and procurement of construction materials,Preparation, submission, and evaluation of tender packages of key equipment,Vendor package management and expediting.Essential Qualities and Background: Degree qualified engineer with a minimum of 8 years' post-graduate experience in an aligned industry, preferably oil and gas construction projects,Experience in Package Engineering,Broad experience and understanding of Piping design,Working for construction contractors in Australia (preferred),Strong computer literacy skills with advanced knowledge of MS applications, experience with Primavera P6 preferred,Ability to work efficiently, effectively, and to hard deadlines,Willingness to work on a range of projects as workload dictates,Adaptability to be able to work directly from client's offices representing Enscope when needed,Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal & external stakeholders,Availability to travel interstate and to sites when needed (rosters are negotiated on a case by case basis).Enscope works in all States of Australia so candidates must be willing to travel to our construction sites and client offices, both in Queensland and interstate to represent the Company on occasion.
Working from our client's offices in secondee type roles can also be required from time to time.
