About the Role The Senior Manager Training and Capability is crucial for advancing transformational learning within the Next Gen CAD project. This role collaborates with the Next Gen CAD team and People & Culture Workforce Capability teams to enhance workforce readiness through innovative learning strategies. By utilizing best practices, data, and research, the manager will spearhead initiatives that focus on curriculum renewal, effective teaching methods, and learner engagement, while incorporating design thinking and online learning technologies to foster impactful educational experiences.
Additionally, the Senior Manager will emphasize community service delivery, ensuring that performance impacts are minimized during the learning transformation. This position is vital for developing a sustainable learning strategy that aligns with TZV's operational needs and supports future growth. Day to day responsibilities include:
Engage with the TZV Workforce on Next Gen CAD learning activities, adapting to the needs of modern learners and integrating best-practice adult learning for improved relevance and retention. Design and deliver enterprise-wide Next Gen CAD learning programs, promoting a strong learning culture and developing quality andragogy informed by contemporary research. Conduct training needs analysis and review the training strategy to address critical skills gaps, uplift ECO and leadership training, and standardize the training experience across departments. Establish a structured development program to support operational leaders in facilitating the transition to Next Gen CAD. Collaborate with Workplace Relations to ensure workforce engagement and prepare presentations for the Union Consultative Committee on the training strategy. Oversee training delivery and coordination with P&C Workforce Capability to ensure timely completion while maintaining compliance with regulations and fostering a positive work environment. About You As the Senior Manager Training and Capability, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Bachelor's degree in Training, Education, or a related field; TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent). Significant experience in learning and development within Emergency Services, customer service organizations, or contact centers. Leadership experience in managing high-performing teams to deliver training and projects for a diverse workforce. Skilled in process design, project management, change management, business analysis, and data analysis. Comprehensive understanding of emergency services, emergency management, telecommunications, employee relations, and government policy. Proven ability to provide strategic and operational advice at a senior level, with strong analytical and interpersonal skills to build relationships across diverse stakeholders.
