Government agency seeks experienced Senior Manager to provide authoritative specialist advice & service support with a focus on Facilities management
Senior Manager - Facilities Management opportunity Approx. $125-$135 per hour plus super dependent on experience Full-time, 6-month contract. Immediate start Melbourne CBD location/WFH Arrangement About the role Government agency requires an experienced Senior Manager for a full-time, 6-month contract within its Asset Management division to working closely and collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, the Department and regional leadership teams and other key government departments.
The role has a strong focus on customer relations, budget management, contract management and business improvements.
Responsibilities and Duties Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Establishing and maintaining regular and productive working relationships with suppliers under contract. Ensuring that the appropriate level of analysis is undertaken procurement activities and that the appropriate level of approval is sought Using appropriate purchasing processes that reflect the complexity of the procurement in accordance with departmental policy Ensuring that contractor performance aligns with core Victorian government objectives and guidelines. Ensuring that the purchasing rules and principles of procurement have been followed as per departmental procurement policies. Key Selection Criteria The skills and experience you will need to demonstrate include:
Leadership: Demonstrated organisational and planning skills to manage own work, assist other team members, support concurrent projects and activities, and assist delivery teams to monitor progress and achieve targeted outcomes. Organisational Awareness: Proven analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and risks to the organisation, recommend innovative and creative solutions to complex problems or sensitive issues. Strategic Planning: Effectively and appropriately develop and use evidence to support and develop approaches to strategy and policy, considering the ramifications of issues and long-term impact of work being done. Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated stakeholder management to collaborate with others, manage critical relationships and build mutually beneficial partnerships, and negotiate with and influence diverse senior stakeholders to achieve key outcomes. Qualifications and Experience To be successful in this role, you must possess:
Tertiary qualifications in Facilities, Maintenance, or Asset Management and/or relevant minimum 7 years' experience as a Senior Practitioner in Facilities Management. Strong experience in stakeholder engagement and management, with experience in Facilities Management ideally within a government environment.
