About the roleRabobank has an opening for a Senior Manager, COO Risk & Compliance.
This role is structured within the First Line Risk & Security Team within Rabobank's COO Domain.
As the Senior Manager, COO Risk & Compliance, you will report to the Head of First Line Risk & Security.
You will collaborate with the broader COO Management Team to drive a robust risk culture & best-in-class risk & compliance practices across the COO Domain.
This includes operational & technology risk in the Operations & Middle Office teams, Technology teams as well as Vendor Management, Continuous Improvement & First Line Risk & Security.
You will lead a small team of dedicated Risk & Compliance Managers & Analysts.
This is a high-visibility position where you'll have the chance to influence & shape risk & compliance strategies across a breadth of risk & compliance areas.
You will join a highly engaged team who work a hybrid mix of in the office & from home.
Top Role Accountabilities:Champion a risk culture within the divisionCoordinate the development & implementation of appropriate 1st line reporting & monitoring of the Risk Management Framework within the divisionLead, develop & mentor a small team of Risk Analysts & ManagersTrain & mentor the 1st line COO Risk & Compliance team as well as Business Unit personnel on the risk management framework & associated processesManage stakeholder obligations & ensure that the COO Domain can meet all their obligations in a timely manner.
This includes but is not limited to Risk Management Committee (RMC), Board Risk & Compliance Committee, & global reporting.Lead targeted reviews of specific areas in response to Risk & Compliance Management information or requests from various stakeholdersSupport the business in implementing the Compliance obligations as determined by the Compliance DepartmentLiaise, coordinate & work with the 2nd line Risk Management functionsProactively support business decision making & contribute to a solid business approach to Risk and Compliance Management mattersWork with the Head of First Line Risk & Security to incorporate & implement the requirements of the Operational Risk Management Framework & Compliance Framework into day-to-day business activitiesTo be successful you will have:Demonstrated experience of working in a Risk or Compliance team or working within a business unit in a role with Risk or Compliance responsibilitiesAn understanding of risk & compliance management within the financial services industry & related regulatory standards (Basel II, Privacy, AML/CTF, & APRA Prudential Standards)An understanding of banking & finance operations including wholesale bankingExperience in managing & evaluating riskPeople management experience, with a focus on coaching & team development highly regardedExcellent leadership capabilitiesExperience in managing stakeholders & engaging with senior management & business commercial teamsOur ValuesRabobank Australia values inclusion, belonging, & positive experiences for all.
