Permanent Full-time Sydney based Fantastic opportunity to further your risk exposure into Fraud and Scams How will I help?
As a Senior Manager you will play a crucial role in managing and mitigating risk in new projects within the Fraud and Scams team.
Your focus will be on assessing and managing risks through appropriate controls, ensuring alignment with both LOB, divisional, and group risk appetites, and developing risk in change initiatives for BAU processes.
You will provide first line-of-defence review and endorsement on project artefacts, ensuring they meet the Transformation Delivery Standard for all new Fraud and Scam project initiatives (both internal and external projects).
You will also ensure that both delivery and delivered risks are managed within the group risk appetite, while optimizing controls and establishing a robust risk in change capability to proactively address potential issues.
Furthermore, you will oversee risk in change outcomes, simplify the risk and control matrix process, optimise project resources, and ensure critical decisions and sign-off points are managed effectively.
You will also report on Risk in Change Governance to the wider Fraud and Scams business unit, and Divisional Governance Forums, providing insights and read-across of LOB initiatives for thematic consistency.
Additionally, you will oversee the transition from project to business-as-usual, ensuring that risks and controls are properly embedded and handed over to the appropriate business units.
Other additional responsibilities include:
Work with and participate in divisional governance forums providing insight and key call outs Actively lead project risk working groups and meetings, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement Ensure the impact of the change is understood, and that ownership and acknowledgement of the delivered risks and new / modified controls are adhered to Ensure sustainability of the change, and ongoing ownership accountabilities are agreed with the business owner Manage the scope of the change and impacted processes, and report to the business for development requirements Mentor and manage junior risk management staff working with you on projects What do I need?
To be successful within this role you will need prior project / delivery risk management and / or risk in change experience within financial services or consulting / professional services.
You will have led prior risk in change projects and ideally have knowledge of risks relating to Financial Crime, Fraud and Scams.
You must also have strong influencing and negotiating skills, strong attention to details, and presenting skills. Experience with JIRA and Confluence is an advantage.
Minimum three (3) years experience as a Project Manager in the retail, hospitality and commercial sectors working on projects between $500k and $15 million.
