Senior role specialising in workplace relations and litigation Flexible and hybrid working part time or full time Based in Sydney (Silverwater) or Melbourne (Port Melbourne).
Own office, onsite parking and a generous salary package About the role: MSS Security is looking for a competent workplace relations and employment lawyer with a strong litigation background.
This role, based in either Silverwater or Port Melbourne, features flexible working arrangements and involves providing strategic and practical legal support with an emphasis on managing workplace related disputes and issues.
The role requires occasional travel interstate and offers a hybrid working model to balance in-office collaboration with the flexibility of working from home.
Key Responsibilities Lead the resolution of litigation and other disputes, including employment, industrial relations, and WHS matters.
Prepare briefs for counsel and legal documents for litigation, including pleadings, affidavits and submissions.
Represent MSS Security in courts and tribunals or instruct external counsel as necessary.
Draft, review and advise on employment contracts, enterprise agreements, Individual Flexibility Arrangements and workplace policies.
Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with external legal experts.
What we are looking for: Experience: 5+ years post qualification experience preferably with a well-regarded law firm and some in-house experience.
Skills: Proven track record in dispute resolution and litigation, particularly in workplace related litigation.
Strong advocacy and communication skills Commercial Acumen: Some general commercial experience is advantageous.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Laws from a reputable law school.
Other Requirements: Must have full Australian working rights and be open to undergoing a police check if required.
